Clubhouse now lets creators record live room for later listening: Know more

  Popular audio chat app Clubhouse on Tuesday said that it is rolling out a new feature -- Replay -- where users can choose to record the audio chat and then save it to a club or profile. The new feature will be available on both iOS and Android platforms. "Replays are an optional feature that creators can choose to toggle on or off for any public room. When Replays are enabled, anyone on Clubhouse can replay the entire experience whenever they like," the company said in a blogpost "They will get to see the same elements of a live room like Leave Quietly and watch the dynamic of the stage and audience shift and evolve throughout the discussion, including PTRs, mic taps, and all the special moments that only happen here," it added. Clubhouse launches new feature to invite friends into audio chats

  Popular audio chat app Clubhouse has officially launched a new way to invite people to audio chats called "Wave". The company announced the news at a surprise town hall on Thursday and is enabling the feature for all users on iOS and Android, reports The Verge. With Wave, users can invite friends to a live audio room just by tapping a waving hand emoji. Once they receive their invitation, they can choose to join your call and immediately get added to an audio room. To send a Wave, users can swipe right on the Hallway or tap the dots icon at the bottom left of the screen. Then tape the wave button next to the person they would like to chat with. They will get a notification that you said hello and know that you are open to chatting. If they are too, they can join a private room with you -- open just to the people you waved at. Read More

Clubhouse arrives on Android a year after launch on Apple's iOS platform

  The popular invite-only audio chat app Clubhouse has finally arrived on Android after spending a year on the Apple iOS platform. Clubhouse for Android has started rolling out in beta from Monday, beginning with the US, followed by other English-speaking countries and then the rest of the world. "Our plan over the next few weeks is to collect feedback from the community, fix any issues we see and work to add a few final features like payments and club creation before rolling it out more broadly," the company said in a statement. Audio app Clubhouse floats payments feature for creators to monetise

  (Reuters) - Audio-chat app Clubhouse said on Monday it will launch a monetization feature for its creators on the platform and that it will not receive any payment from it. Starting Monday, all users will be able to send payments through the platform, Clubhouse said. The feature to receive payments will initially be available only to a small test group, and later rolled out to other customers. Users can send payment to Clubhouse creators who have the feature enabled, by tapping a 'Send Money' option.
