Lights, cameras, and security: Alia, Ranbir wedding festivities kick off

  They never did confirm the date but celebrations for the endlessly discussed Aiia Bhatt Ranbir Kapoor wedding appeared to have kicked off on Wednesday with friends and family, including father of the bride Mahesh Bhatt and mother of the groom Neetu Kapoor, seen driving into the couple's apartment complex. With no concrete information from either family, it was all about the optics.  Hordes of media personnel kept vigil outside the Bandra apartment 'Vastu', situated in a usually quiet lane that today was the cynosure of attention with telephoto lens focused closely on occupants behind rolled up car windows. Alia Bhatt's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' mints over Rs 39 crore in 3 days

  Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's latest directorial venture " Gangubai Kathiawadi ", starring Alia Bhatt , has earned Rs 39.12 crore over the weekend, the makers said on Monday. The film, which released on Friday, minted Rs 10.5 crore on day one followed by Rs 13.32 crore on Saturday.  On Sunday, the film witnessed a jump as it clocked Rs 15.3 crore, collections shared by Bhansali Productions on Twitter read. Many in the trade have dubbed the film's performance at the box office as impressive since it has managed to bring in the numbers despite 50 percent occupancy cap in Maharashtra, a key state for Hindi films. Samsung ropes in Alia Bhatt to endorse Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, Flip3 5G in India

  Samsung on Wednesday said it has signed Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt as the face for its newly announced Galaxy Z series of foldable smartphones for India. Samsung will bring its ultra-premium Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G smartphones in India from September 10, with prices starting at Rs 84,999. Pre-bookings for the devices will open on August 24. The South Korean tech giant - which competes with Apple in the premium smartphone category - had unveiled the two high-end foldable smartphones at its Galaxy unpacked event last week. Alia's qualities and immense popularity among young Gen Z and millennial consumers make her the perfect partner to drive the adoption of Galaxy Z series foldable smartphones, Samsung India Senior Director Sumit Walia said in a statement.
