  US-based Motorola on Monday launched a new smartphone ' Moto G52 ' with a pOLED display, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and triple rear camera setup in India. The smartphone starts at Rs 14,499 for the 4GB+64GB storage option and Rs 15,499 for the 6GB+128GB storage option. "The Motorola Moto G52 comes with stereo speakers, a smooth ad-free Android 12 experience, IP52 water repellent design, 50MP quad camera system and power efficient performance with Snapdragon 680," the company said in a statement.   South Korean tech giant Samsung is expected to unveil a new budget 5G smartphone Galaxy Wide5 and that might launch as Galaxy F42 5G in India. According to GizmoChina, ahead of its official unveiling, the smartphone has arrived on Geekbench certification, revealing its key specs. According to the Geekbench portal, the Samsung Galaxy Wide5 a.k.a the Galaxy F42 5G runs on the latest Android 11 out of the box. It scores 558 single-core points and 1513 multi-core points.   Global smartphone brand Vivo is likely to launch its upcoming smartphone -- Vivo X70 Pro + -- with 50MP primary camera and Snapdragon 888+ chipset on September 9. According to GSMArena, the shooters, developed alongside Zeiss, will include a 50MP 1/1.31" main snapper and a periscope lens. The main camera will have a Samsung ISOCELL GN1 sensor. The ultra-wide-angle snapper will come with Sony IMX598 48MP sensor behind, while the third cam will be a dedicated shooter for portraits. Its sensor will be 12MP Sony IMX663 and will offer 2x magnification. The periscope cam will have an 8MP sensor and will support 5x zoom.   Smartphone maker Realme on Monday announced the availability of a second storage variant of Narzo 30 5G (4GB+ 64GB) priced at Rs 13,999 in the Indian market. The Narzo 30 5G (4GB+64GB) variant will be available for grabs starting August 24 on Flipkart, realme.com and mainline channels. The Narzo 30 5G debuted in June this year in a 6GB+128GB variant. Earlier this month, Realme also announced a new variant of the Narzo 30 4G.   Chinese mobile phone maker Oppo on Tuesday said it has filed over 125 patents from its Camera Lab, established recently in India. Tasleem Arif, vice president, India research and development head, Oppo, said the company is determined to push artificial intelligence capabilities to bring high-end videography innovation to the users. "The newly launched camera lab is designed to develop localised features, camera solutions using AI and focus on developing imaging software for a better user experience. To strengthen our focus on Camera technology, our India team have already filed over 125 patents in this domain and out of these more than 50 per cent are into AI in Camera," Arif said. The lab in India aims to pursue innovations to support Oppo's leadership in imaging technology, including camera system and module innovation, computation optimisation, and algorithm research, he added.   With smartphone brands OnePlus and OPPO -- both part of the China-based conglomerate BBK Group -- deciding to integrate their businesses, the move has not surprised industry experts as it will only mean leveraging each other's capabilities in a more deeper and meaningful way, in order to take on behemoth like Xiaomi that has kept top position in the domestic smartphone market for several years in a row.
