Actor Madhuri Dixit expresses grief on Lata Mangeshkar's demise

 

Veteran actor Madhuri Dixit shared a heartfelt tribute to late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who left for her heavenly abode on Sunday.

Taking to her Twitter handle, the actor wrote, "The angelic voice that made us all swoon and fall in love has gone to the heavens to spread that love. Hearing Lata Tai's melodies over the years, remembering her image in 2 choti's & that childlike attribute has left like an imprint that will never ever leave our hearts."


"It's your memories that remain with us. You will truly never leave our hearts but the void too shall never be filled. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Om Shanti," she added.

For the unversed, Lata has crooned many memorable songs that were picturised on Madhuri including 'Dholna', 'Maye Ni Maye', and 'Didi Tera Dewar' among several others. Read More

Facebook parent Meta's social VR platform Horizon hits 300,000 users

  Meta's social virtual reality (VR) platform Horizon has reached 300,000 monthly users, a growth of 10 times since its roll-out in early December. According to a report in The Verge, Meta spokesperson Joe Osborne confirmed this, saying it included users of Horizon Worlds and Horizon Venues which is a separate app for attending live events in VR. Horizon Worlds was rolled out to Oculus Quest VR headset users in the US and Canada in early December. "It's time. 10,000 worlds have already been created. Drop in and play, build or just hang out. The possibilities are endless," Horizon Worlds posted in a tweet. Horizon Worlds was recently featured in Meta's Super Bowl ad, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg called it "core to our metaverse vision".
